Why tooth pain is common at night?

Image
Why tooth pain is common at night? Reason of tooth pain at night?  Tooth pain at night can be a common occurrence for several reasons. Here are some possible explanations for tooth pain: 1. Increased awareness: During the day, you may be engaged in various activities that distract you from the tooth pain. However, when you lie down to sleep at night, there are fewer distractions, and your mind becomes more focused on the discomfort caused by tooth pain making it feel more pronounced. 2. Changes in blood flow: When you lie down, the blood flow to your head increases. This can potentially result in an increased blood supply to the painful tooth, leading to heightened sensitivity and tooth pain. 3. Grinding or clenching teeth: Many people unknowingly grind or clench their teeth during sleep, a condition known as bruxism. This can put excessive pressure on your teeth, causing tooth pain, tooth sensitivity, or aggravating existing dental issues and tooth pain  4. Sinus problems: Sinus

Lower motor neuron lesion causes, diagnosis, treatment and prognosis of LMNL

Image
Lower motor neuron lesion causes, diagnosis, treatment and prognosis of LMNL What is a lower motor neuron lesion? A lower motor neuron lesion is a condition that affects the nerves that control voluntary muscle movement. These nerves, which are called lower motor neurons, originate in the spinal cord and extend to the muscles. When a lower motor neuron is damaged, it can no longer send signals to the muscles, which can lead to lower motor neuron lesion which can give symptoms of muscle weakness, paralysis, and other symptoms. Describe the causes of lower motor neuron lesion. what are possible reasons that cause lower motor neuron lesion? Causes of lower motor neuron lesions There are many different causes of lower motor neuron lesions, including: Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) Poliomyelitis Guillain-Barre syndrome Spinal cord injury Multiple sclerosis Botulism Tetanus Muscular dystrophy What are symptoms of lower motor neuron lesion? Symptoms of lower motor neuron lesions The symp

Spasticity in Upper Motor Neuron Lesion

Image
Upper motor neuron lesions can cause spasticity due to the disruption of the normal inhibitory control exerted by the upper motor neurons on the lower motor neurons in the spinal cord. Spasticity is a condition characterized by increased muscle tone, exaggerated reflexes, and involuntary muscle contractions. In a healthy nervous system, the upper motor neurons, which originate in the motor cortex of the brain and descend to the spinal cord, provide inhibitory signals to the lower motor neurons. These inhibitory signals help regulate muscle tone and prevent excessive contraction of muscles . However, when there is damage to the upper motor neurons, such as in the case of an upper motor neuron lesion, this inhibitory control is compromised. The loss of inhibitory signals results in an imbalance between excitation and inhibition in the spinal cord circuits responsible for muscle control. Without the normal inhibitory input from the upper motor neurons, the lower motor neurons become

Piriformis Syndrome pain and its treatment

Image
Piriformis syndrome is a condition characterized by pain and discomfort in the buttock region caused by the irritation or compression of the sciatic nerve by the piriformis muscle. The piriformis muscle is a small muscle located in the buttock, and it plays a role in the rotation of the hip . When the piriformis muscle becomes tight or spasms , it can put pressure on the sciatic nerve , which runs beneath or through the muscle in some individuals. This compression can result in pain, tingling, numbness , or a combination of these sensations in the buttock region, and it may even radiate down the back of the leg. Cause of Piriformis Syndrome: The exact cause of piriformis syndrome is often unknown , but it can be associated with factors such as muscle overuse, muscle tightness, trauma or injury to the buttock area, anatomical variations, or prolonged sitting or standing in certain positions. Diagnosing Piriformis Syndrome  Diagnosing piriformis syndrome can be challenging because i
